Restore your sense of trust in the industry, and the way business can be done.

D&G is a family-owned Truckload and Less-Than-Truckload carrier offering temperature-controlled services at a competitive cost. D&G’s superior safety and service rating is largely due to our experienced owner operators. All D&G trucks are well maintained, and most drivers utilize late-model equipment. We expect all drivers to run safely and efficiently, preserving our reputation for courteous and prompt service.

We don’t believe a company has to be worldwide to be world-class.

Customer satisfaction is the result of a series of well-coordinated events that neither begins nor ends with the actual movement of goods. We add value through relationships with customers and everyone affected by what we do. Our process revolves around the motto “Integrity and Reliability” which is why our shipper and carrier partners trust us with their product and livelihood.

Dick & Gene. Two guys, and one commitment to service.

In 1986, D&G Transportation first put rubber to the road. At that time, Dick and Gene, along with 17 owner-operators, ran refrigerated truckload (TL) freight mainly for Sysco Foods. Operations were headquartered in a 1000 square foot office in Mequon, Wisconsin. Hard work, long hours and word of mouth from satisfied customers and drivers helped keep things moving during the early years.

Over the next decade, D&G grew by diversifying its operations and customer base. Key employees joined the team, many of whom are with us to this day. As freight volume and service regions increased, the number of owner-operators and dedicated carriers more than doubled. Customer needs and industry trends led to a transition from TL to a focus on less-than-truckload (LTL) services. With this change also came the realization that a temperature-controlled warehouse facility would be needed to properly store and cross-dock orders.

D&G’s aim is not to be the biggest, just the best.

In 1996, D&G moved operations to its current location in Germantown, WI. Increased demand for refrigerated LTL freight services provided opportunities for growth, and D&G now employs more than 30 dedicated personnel in dispatch, clerical and warehousing positions. With more than 80 owner-operators, we focus on LTL and multi-pick/drop TL routings and directly service every region of the US except New York City. In addition, we provide dry, refrigerated, and frozen warehousing for our food manufacturing and ingredients customers. Most important, we have not lost sight of the values and dedication needed to provide high-quality, personalized service that has been a part of our culture since day one.
